Description : The male wet-season brood has violaceous blue upperside with black borders on the costa, apex, and termen. The hindwing has black borders consisting of coalescent spots. Underside is slightly bluish white with distinct black markings. The female is white on the upperside with black borders on the forewing and hindwing. The underside markings are similar to the male. In the dry-season brood, males have a small patch of white on the forewing and hindwing, while females may have reduced or no blue iridescence. Underside markings are paler and less prominent than in the wet-season brood.
