Description : The banded kukuri snake has a pale brown or orange upper body with distinct black crossbands of varying number and width. These crossbands may have white edges. It has an angular or transverse black band between the eyes, another behind them with the apex on the frontal, and a third on the nape. Its lower surface is typically uniform yellowish, occasionally spotted with brown or having a brown posterior border to the ventrals.
Its total length is 24 inches, with a 3.5-inch tail.(female 640 mm, tail 100 mm). It is nocturnal and feeds on earthworms, insects and larvae.
