As its name suggests, this snake is arboreal and spends most of its time in trees. It is a diurnal species, which means it is active during the day, and feeds mainly on small vertebrates such as lizards, birds, and frogs. It is also a fast and agile climber that can move quickly through the trees.
The Painted Bronzeback Tree Snake is found throughout South and Southeast Asia, including India, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia. It prefers forested areas but can also be found in gardens and other urban areas.
The Painted Bronzeback Tree Snake is not venomous and is not considered a threat to humans. However, it may bite if provoked or threatened, which can result in pain and swelling at the bite site.
The Painted Bronzeback Tree Snake is not currently considered a threatened species, although habitat loss and fragmentation are potential threats to its populations. It is also sometimes collected for the pet trade, which can impact local populations if not done sustainably.
