Description : This snake is relatively large, with a total length of over 2 meters. Its body is slender and flattened from side to side, and it has strongly enlarged front teeth in both the upper and lower jaws.

The snake's dorsal surface is a tannish color with reddish-brown or dark brown crossbands, while there is a dark streak behind each eye on the sides of its head. The ventral surface of the snake is whitish and heavily marked with dark brown, giving it a marbled appearance.

The snake's smooth dorsal scales are arranged in either 23 or 33 rows at its midpoint, with the scales in the vertebral row being particularly enlarged.
The species primarily preys on small birds and their eggs, although it may also consume lizards and small bats. This snake is an oviparous species, meaning that sexually mature females lay eggs. Typically, the number of eggs in a clutch ranges from 6 to 12.
