Description : Blue pansy has brown colored antennae with a reddish brown head.Male butterfly has black colored wings on the upperside with apical white and brown zigzag lines, as well as red-orange eyespots. Hindwing is also black colored but blue outwards.Some black slender lines and ochreous-orange transverse bands are found on the underside of the forewing.In case of hindwing,many brown lines are scattered here.Ocelli are present on both sides of the wings.Female pansy is a brown colored butterfly and has markings similar to the male.
