Description : The Painted Lady butterfly. Upperside of the wings is reddish-orange with the apical tips of the forwings black with white spots. The upperside of the hindwing has 4-5 black spots on the posterior side. Underside of the forewing is similar to the upperside, but the tip and anterior area may be grey-bround with white streaks. The underside of the hindwing is ochreous olive-brown and may have several ocelli.
