Description : The Leopard Lacewing has brown colored body. The upperside of the males is tawny with apical black areas, separated by a broad oblique white band. Both wings have black spots and a crenate margin with V-shaped white markings. The underside of the wings is multicoloured, including differently-sized and shaped red, blue, blue, black and orange spots. The underside is characterized by a broad black margin with "V" shaped white markings. The upperside of the wings of the female is pale greenish-white. The underside is also similar to the male, but paler in appearance. This butterfly thrives in dense undergrowth forests.
