Description : The Great Eggfly is mostly black with a margin with white spots. The upperside of the forewing has two white spots, while the hindwing has one, all encircle by blue or purple colour. This species has another form, in which the upperside is black with small white spots along forewing and hindwing margins and with some small blue spots on the frontpart of the forewings. The underside of both wings is black with white spots along the margins and a median white band.The color of wings on the upperside of the female is paler in comparison to male.The underside of the wings is brown, with the same markings.
