Description : Males have black forewings with various streaks and spots, including a long streak in interspace 1, a slender streak in the cell, and a broad oblique median band followed by paired streaks in interspaces 3, 4, and 5. The hindwings are white with black veins, a black termen, and crimson spots near the edge. Two forms exist: one with clear white hindwings and the other with ivory-colored hindwings. Females lack crimson terminal spots but retain a basal crimson patch on the hindwing underside.
