Description : Both male and female butterflies of this species have rounded wings with a shorter tail at vein 4 of the hind wing, and their ocelli are larger in comparison. On the underside of the hind wing, the third ocellus from the tornus is placed inward and out of line. The apex of the forewing appears purplish, and the terminal third of both wings has a purple tinge. These butterflies display distinct characteristics in their wing shape and coloration, making them easily recognizable and intriguing to observe.
