Description : The Rustic is an orange-brown butterfly. The upperside of its forewing has a black apical area and a bright yellow median zone. A few black spots and streaks are seen on the upperside of the forewing and hindwing. the underside of the wings is a mixture of white and pale brown color that contains some semi-circular markings and black round spots. This butterfly has ochraceous brown antennae, head, thorax, and abdomen. On the underside, the palpi, thorax, and abdomen are very pale ochraceous white. Adult butterflies sometimes visit carrion to drink fluids, and they show a preference for carcasses that are exposed to sunlight rather than those in the shade.
