Description : The Common lascar is overall black.The upperside of the wings has a black base with some orange-yellow bands crossing over the body. Some orange-yellow spots at the apex and a subterminal slender line are observed on the forewing.Hindwing contains a terminal dark black line. The underside of the wings is chestnut-brown with markings similar to the ones on the upperside, but are broader and paler in comparison.
