Description : M. visala closely resembles M. mineus in color and wing markings. However, M. visala is larger and has distinct wing shape in both seasonal forms. Males have a bright ochreous sex-mark on the underside of the forewing that extends beyond the transverse bands. M. mineus has more rounded wings, darker ground color, and relatively larger ocelli.
