Scientific Name : Ypthima huebneri
Family : Satyridae
Order : Lepidoptera
Class : Insecta
Phylum : Arthropoda
Habitat : Grasslands,bushes

Description : The adult butterflies have a wingspan of 40–43 mm. The upperside of the wings is a greyish-brown color. The forewing features a relatively large, bi-pupilled, yellow-ringed, black preapical ocellus. The hindwing usually has two, sometimes three, and very rarely no smaller uni-pupilled postdiscal ocelli.

On the underside, the wings are greyish-white and sparsely covered with short brown transverse striae. The forewing exhibits the preapical ocellus as seen on the upperside, along with faint discal and subterminal dull brown transverse fasciae, and a narrow brown ring around the ocellus that diffusely extends posteriorly. The hindwing typically displays one apical and three postdiscal posterior ocelli, arranged in a curve. In most specimens, there are traces of transverse brown discal and subterminal fasciae.

The antenna, head, thorax, and abdomen are all greyish-brown, with the abdomen being paler on the underside. The male does not have any secondary sex-mark.

A similar variation of the butterfly exists, appearing somewhat paler on both upper and underside. The discal and subterminal transverse fasciae are more pronounced in this variation, and the ocelli on the hindwing's underside are either minute or absent.
