Description : Spotted deer are medium-sized deer, typically weighing between 50-80 kg (110-180 lbs). They have reddish-brown fur with white spots that are more prominent in younger individuals. Their antlers are typically three-pronged and can grow up to 75 cm (30 inches) in length.

Spotted deer are found in a variety of habitats, including forests, grasslands, and wetlands. They are especially common in areas where there is a mix of forest and grassland.

Spotted deer are herbivores and mainly eat grasses and leaves. They are known to feed on a variety of plant species and are adaptable to different types of vegetation.

Spotted deer are social animals and live in herds, usually consisting of females and their young. Males are typically solitary, except during the breeding season. They are active during the day and rest in the shade during the hottest part of the day.

Breeding typically occurs in the fall, and females give birth to a single fawn after a gestation period of about 7 months. Fawns are born with white spots and are able to walk within a few hours of birth.

Spotted deer are considered a species of least concern by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), although they have declined in some areas due to habitat loss and hunting.
