Description : Adult finless porpoises can grow up to 1.5 to 1.9 meters in length and weigh between 30 to 45 kilograms.

As the name suggests, finless porpoises have no dorsal fin, but instead have a small, triangular hump on their backs. They have a stocky body shape and a rounded head with no beak.

The upper part of their body is dark grey, while the underside is light grey or white.

Finless porpoises are found in coastal waters, estuaries, and rivers.

They are social animals that typically live in small groups of 2-10 individuals. They are known to be highly acrobatic, frequently leaping out of the water and spinning in the air.

Their diet consists of a variety of small fish, squid, and crustaceans.

Finless porpoises are threatened by habitat destruction, pollution, overfishing, and accidental capture in fishing nets. They are considered to be vulnerable by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
