Description : Male with dark chocolate brown upperside. Female is similar but is of a duller hue and some lead coloured scales. Forewings have a broad orange area interrupted with black bands. Hindwings have an orange area close to the posterior margin of the hindwings. Underside is mostly white with transversal orange/red bands with a thiner white band within. Each hindwing has two tails black and white.
