Description : The male butterfly features white forewings and hindwings with a very broad pure white band, edged by dark blue on its inner and outer margins. The base of the wings is black, and there are black markings along the costal margin of the forewings and the terminal margins of both wings. The undersides of the wings are snow-white with black streaks and spots.

The female is similar to the male but has a broader white band extending up to vein 7 on the forewings, lacking the inner blue edging or iridescent light blue suffusion. The black markings on the female are not as intense and have a brownish-black shade. The underside markings are alike, with the basal oblique bands on the forewings typically more spaced apart compared to the male. Both genders have black antennae, head, thorax, and abdomen, while the undersides of the palpi, thorax, and abdomen show a median longitudinal white line.
