Description : Common Tinsel is 28-32 mm in size.Upperside dark violet-blue with a narrow dark margin in the male and pale blue with broad dark border in the female. The underside is, in both, mostly brown whith different discountinuous strips grey or ochre. Each hindwing has a pair of tails, dark with a white tip.
