Description : The butterfly's upperside is pale violet with a blue sheen. The forewing has a slender dark line along the edge, and the hindwing has a short brown bar in interspace 1 and a black spot in interspace 2. The underside is pale dull grey with brownish-black markings on both forewings and hindwings. The female's upperside has brownish-black borders on the forewing and hindwing, with white and metallic blue flushing. The underside is similar to the male. Both have dark brown antennae, head, thorax, and abdomen, while the underside of the palpi, thorax, and abdomen is white.
