Description : Black body of Painted Catfish is slightly compressed with depressed head.Mouth is inferior,small with 4 pairs of barbels.Dorsal fin is elongated,slightly curved resembling subtriangular structure along with short,posterior adipose fin.Caudal fin shows acute deeply forked form.Lighter belly is present with white fins at its posterior edges.
