Description : Body of Squarehead Catfish is depressed anteriorly and tapering posteriorly.Very large, depressed and rectangular shaped head.Mouth very wide.3 pairs od barbels present.Body green and black above.Large black spots present in the posterior half of the body. It inhabits rivers, canals, and ponds within grassland, scrubland, deciduous forest, and rainforest habitats. Growing up to 26.0 cm (10.2 inches), this species is also present in the aquarium trade.
