Description : One spot barb is a compressed bodied fish.Upperside of body is yellowish-silvery in color.Two black spots are present on the body,one over the anal fin and other behind the gill-cover.A dark line is present behind the mark present over anal fin.Scales have fine black dots and operculum with a reddish-orange mark.Male species have yellowish body with orange fins while female are silvery with clear fin.
