For its measurements:

The head is about 21.4% of its length.
The body height is around 28.6% of its length.
The eyes are relatively small, making up about 16.7% of the head.
Now, let's talk about where you can find it and what it eats:

It lives in freshwater, although you might rarely spot it in slightly salty water.
You can find it in various places like ponds, ditches, canals, lakes, and rivers. It usually hangs out near the bottom of the water.
This fish isn't picky; it's a detritus eater, which means it mostly munches on decaying plant matter. But it's open to other food too, like rice bran, wheat bran, and mustard oil cake, especially when it's being raised in aquaculture.
When it's time to make baby fish, this species likes to breed in shallow water during the rainy season. It's a fan of open natural waters and chooses spots with a water depth of about 0.5-1.0 meters.
