Description : Leopards are the smallest of the big cats, with males weighing between 60-90 kg (132-198 lb) and females weighing between 30-60 kg (66-132 lb).

They have a distinctive, spotted coat that is yellow or gold in color with black spots. The spots are called "rosettes" because they look like roses. Their fur is also quite thick and luxurious.

Leopards are found in many parts of the world, including sub-Saharan Africa, parts of Asia, and the Middle East. They prefer to live in wooded areas, grasslands, and savannas.

Leopards are carnivores and mainly feed on small to medium-sized prey such as antelopes, deer, and wild boars. They are also known to eat smaller animals such as rodents and birds.

Leopards are solitary animals and are primarily active at night. They are also excellent climbers and can climb trees to store their prey or to escape from danger.

Leopards are skilled hunters and can run up to 58 km/h (36 mph) for short distances. They use their keen eyesight and hearing to stalk and ambush their prey.

Leopards are threatened by habitat loss, poaching, and human-wildlife conflict. They are listed as a vulnerable species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
