Description : Jungle cats are medium-sized cats, with a body length of 65-80 cm (25-31 in) and a shoulder height of 35-40 cm (14-16 in). They have a long, slender body, and a relatively short tail. Their fur is usually yellowish-brown or grayish-brown with black stripes, spots or blotches, and their belly is white.

Jungle cats are found in a variety of habitats, including swamps, marshes, reedbeds, grasslands, and forests. They are well-adapted to wetland environments and are often found near water sources.

Jungle cats are opportunistic predators, feeding on a variety of prey such as rodents, birds, reptiles, fish, and small mammals. They are also known to prey on domestic animals such as chickens and ducks.

Jungle cats are solitary and territorial animals, with males having larger territories than females. They are active during both day and night, but are most active at dawn and dusk.

Jungle cats breed throughout the year, with females giving birth to litters of 2-4 kittens. The kittens are born blind and helpless, and are cared for by their mother until they are able to hunt on their own.

The jungle cat is listed as a species of least concern by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), but its populations are threatened by habitat loss, hunting, and persecution due to conflict with humans over livestock predation.
