Description : These mice typically measure around 10-12 centimeters in length, with a tail that is roughly the same length as their body.
Vernay's climbing mice have brown or reddish-brown fur, with spiny hairs on their backs.
These mice are omnivorous, feeding on a variety of foods including insects, fruits, and seeds.
Vernay's climbing mice are arboreal and are adapted to living in trees. They are able to grip onto branches with their sharp claws and spiny hairs, and have a prehensile tail that helps them balance. They are also nocturnal and are active at night.
Female Vernay's climbing mice can give birth to litters of up to 4 pups at a time. They are able to breed throughout the year.
