Description : Adults typically weigh between 1.5 to 5.5 kilograms (3.3 to 12.1 pounds) and measure around 65 to 94 centimeters (25.6 to 37 inches) in length.

The otter has short, sleek, and waterproof fur that ranges in color from light to dark brown, with a lighter underside. They have small claws on their front paws, which are partially webbed.

The Oriental Small-clawed Otter is a social animal and lives in family groups. They are very vocal and use a variety of sounds to communicate with each other.

They are found in freshwater habitats such as rivers, streams, and mangrove swamps in Southeast Asia, including parts of India, China, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

They are primarily carnivorous, feeding on fish, crustaceans, mollusks, and small amphibians.
