Description : The body of Pelagic Sea Snake is compressed and the head is narrow with an elongated snout.Colors of the snake are variable having black above and yellow or brown below.Ventrally there may be a series of black spots or bars.Female larger than male. This sea snake is fully pelagic and spends its entire life in the open ocean. They feed on small fish and eels and are able to drink saltwater due to a specialized gland in their mouth that filters out the salt.
