Description : Egyptian free-tailed bats are small bats, with a wingspan of around 30-40 cm (12-16 inches).

These bats have brown or grayish-brown fur on their backs and lighter fur on their undersides. They have long, narrow wings and a short, pointed tail.

Egyptian free-tailed bats are insectivorous, which means they feed on insects such as moths and beetles.

These bats are found in a variety of habitats, including deserts, savannas, and forests.

Egyptian free-tailed bats are nocturnal and are most active at night, when they leave their roosts to forage for food. They are fast and agile fliers and are capable of reaching speeds of up to 60 km/h (37 mph).

Females give birth to one offspring at a time, and the young are nursed for several months before they are weaned.

Egyptian free-tailed bats are classified as "least concern" by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). However, they may be affected by habitat loss and disturbance, as well as by the use of pesticides in agricultural areas. They are also sometimes hunted for their meat or used in traditional medicine.
