Description : দাগিলেজ জরালি লম্বা পায়ের বাদামি রঙের পাখি।(পূর্ণ বয়স্ক পাখির দৈর্ঘ্য প্রায় ৩৭সেমি, ওজন ২২০ গ্রাম পর্যন্ত হতে পারে) প্রজননকালে পুরুষ পাখির দেহ উপরের দিকে বালুবাদামি, ডানা ধূসর রঙের হয়। এদের সাদা সুপারসিলয়াম(চোখের ভ্রু)আছে আর গলার রঙ কাঠবাদামের ন্যায়। এরা পোকামাকড়, অমেরুদণ্ডী প্রাণী খায়। এর বাসাটি শ্যাওলা দিয়ে তৈরি একটি অগভীর কপসদৃশ। কখনও কখনও গাছপালা দিয়ে ঘেরা থাকে। সাধারণ ক্লাচের আকার ২ থেকে ৫ ডিম ধারণ করতে পারে।গড়ে চারটি থাকে। পুরুষ এবং স্ত্রী উভয়ই ২০ থেকে ২১ দিনের জন্য ডিমগুলিকে পালাক্রমে তা দেয়। স্ত্রীরা দিনের বেলায় গর্ভধারণ করে, আর পুরুষরা রাতে দায়িত্ব নেয়।
