Description : গুলিন্দা বাটান ছোট উপকূলীয় অঞ্চলের পাখি। পাখিটির ঠোঁট লম্বা, সরু, নিচের অংশ বাঁকানো।(পূর্ণ বয়স্ক পাখির দৈর্ঘ্য প্রায় ২০ সেমি., ওজন ৪৫ গ্রাম, ডানা ১৩ সেমি. পর্যন্ত হতে পারে) প্রজননকাল ছাড়া এদের দেহের উপরের অংশ ধূসর-বাদামি আর নিচের দিকে সাদা রঙের হয়। এদের সাদা রঙের সুপারসিলিয়াম (চোখের ভ্রু) আছে। এরা পোকামাকড়, ক্ষুদ্র অমেরুদণ্ডী প্রাণী খেয়ে থাকে। এরা জুন থেকে আগস্টের শেষ পর্যন্ত বংশবৃদ্ধি করে। বাসা বাঁধে জলাভূমি বা পুলের কিনারায়। স্ত্রী ১৯-২০ দিন পর্যন্ত জন্য ডিম দেয় এবং তারপর ১৪-১৬ দিন বাচ্চাদের যত্ন নেয়।
