Description : সানডারলিং ছোট আকারের সাদা রঙের উপকূলীয় পাখি।(পূর্ণ বয়স্ক পাখির দৈর্ঘ্য প্রায় ২০ সেমি. ওজন ৪০ গ্রাম, ডানা ১২.৫ সেমি. পর্যন্ত হতে পারে) পাখিটির মুখ, গলা, বুক গ্রীষ্মকালীন সময়ে লালচে বাদামি রঙের হয়। শীতকালে এদের দেহের উপরের অংশ হাল্কা ধূসর, নিচের দিক সাদা। এদের চোখের আইরিশ বাদামি, ঠোঁট আকারে ছোট, ঠোঁট ও পা কালো রঙের হয়। এরা পোকামাকড়, শামুক, ক্রাসটাশিয়া খেয়ে থাকে।
