Description : লম্বাআঙ্গুল চাহা খুব ছোট, ধূসর উপকূলীয় অঞ্চলের পাখি যার গলা ও পা হলুদ রঙের।(পূর্ণ বয়স্ক পাখির দৈর্ঘ্য প্রায় ১৫ সেমি. ওজন ২০ গ্রাম, ডানা ৯.৩ সেমি. পর্যন্ত হতে পারে) প্রজননকাল ছাড়া এদের দেহের উপরের অংশ ধূসর-বাদামি আর নিচের দিকে সাদা রঙের হয়। এদের সুপারসিলিয়াম (চোখের ভ্রু) সাদা হয় আর চোখে গাঢ় রঙের লাইন টানা থাকে। এরা পোকামাকড়, লার্ভা, ক্ষুদ্র অমেরুদণ্ডী প্রাণী খেয়ে থাকে। এটি শ্যাওলা, ছোট গাছসহ এলাকায় বাসা বাঁধার স্থান বেছে নেয়। সাধারণত, এটি তার বাসার জন্য শুকনো ঘাসের ঢিবির উপর গোপন, অগভীর গর্ত নির্বাচন করে।
