Habitat : জলজ উদ্ভিদ ভরা হ্রদ,বড় পুকুর,অগভীর লেগুন,হাওর ও জলাবদ্ধ ধানখেত।
 
Description : ধলা বালিহাঁস ছোট আকারের হাঁস পাখি।(পূর্ণ বয়স্ক পাখির দৈর্ঘ্য প্রায় ৩৩.৫ সেমি. ওজন প্রায় ২৫০ গ্রাম, ডানা প্রায় ১৫.৫ সেমি. পর্যন্ত হতে পারে) পুরুষ পাখির মুখ, নাক, বুকের নিচের অংশ সাদা। স্ত্রী পাখি কিছু তা অনুজ্জ্বল বাদামি রঙের। এরা জলজ উদ্ভিদ খায়, কখনও কখনও জলজ পোকা, লার্ভা, শামুক খেয়ে থাকে।
