Description : Indus garua has an elongated and laterally compressed body.Moderate mouth has 4 pairs of barbels and they appear as bluish-grey above along with silvery below.Its dorsal spines are elongated. Inhabits freshwater environments such as rivers, streams, and canals. During the rainy season, it can be found in streams, rivers, beels, as well as in canals, jute fields, and paddy fields.
