Description : লালগলা বাতাই ছোট আকৃতির লালচে-গোলাপি পাখি। (পূর্ণ বয়স্ক পাখি লম্বায় প্রায় ২৭ সেমি. ও ওজন প্রায় ৩৫৫ গ্রাম হয়ে থাকে) পুরুষ পাখির পিঠ দেখতে সোনালি জলপাই-বাদামি।পুরুষ পাখির লেজের নিচে ও গলায় লালের উপর কালো তিল এবং স্ত্রী পাখির গলায় কাল তিল দেখা যায়। এরা পাঁচ থেকে দশটি পাখির দল করে খাবার খায় সাধারনত বীজ, গাছের কান্ড, বেরি, পোকামাকড় এবং শামুক খায়। চমকে গেলে, এটি দৌড়ে যায় বা উড়ে যায় এবং ডালপালা ধরে থাকতে পারে। প্রজনন ঋতুতে অবস্থান অনুসারে পরিবর্তিত হয়। পুরুষরা মাটিতে বা জলের কাছাকাছি, ঘাস দিয়ে রেখাযুক্ত একটি বাসা তৈরি করে। স্ত্রীরা তিন থেকে পাঁচটি সাদা ডিম পাড়ে। এই পাখিরা ১৮০০-৩০০০ মিটার (৫৯০০-৯৮০০ফুট) উচ্চতায় পাহাড়ী বনে বাস করে। এরা ওক বনের জন্য পছন্দ করে।
