Description : জুলফি পানচিল ছোট আকারের রুপালি ধূসর জলচর পাখি।(পূর্ণ বয়স্ক পাখির দৈর্ঘ্য প্রায় ২৫ সেমি, ডানা ২২ সেমি পর্যন্ত হতে পারে) প্রজনন মৌসুমে এদের দেহের উপরের দিক রুপালি রঙের হয়। প্রজননকালে এরা দেখতে আকর্ষণীয়। অপ্রজনন মৌসুমে এরা দেখতে সম্পূর্ণ ধূসর তবে মাথার দিকে সাদা টুপির ন্যায় অংশে কালো ডোরা থাকে। এরা প্রধানত পোকামাকড়, লার্ভা, ঘাসফড়িং খায় তবে এরা কাঁকড়া, মাছ ধরেও খায়।
