Description : Forewings white with black broad area close to the margin of the forewings. Underside yellow, forewings with white and yellow area. Hinding underside mostly yellow. The male butterfly has white upperside with black markings. Forewings have greenish-yellow and black scales, while hindwings show a dark terminal band. Female has dark brownish-black upperside with white streaks. Undersides are similar, with more limited white areas in the female. Dry-season males have narrower black markings on wings.
