The Sunda pangolin is found in Southeast Asia, specifically in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand. It prefers to live in forests and grasslands, and is also found in agricultural areas.

The Sunda pangolin feeds primarily on ants and termites, which it catches using its long, sticky tongue. It has no teeth and instead uses its strong stomach muscles to crush the insects it eats.

The Sunda pangolin is a solitary animal and is primarily active at night. It has poor eyesight but a keen sense of smell, which it uses to locate food.

The Sunda pangolin is listed as critically endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) due to habitat loss and poaching for its meat and scales, which are used in traditional medicine.
