Description : Dusky sleeper is an elongated bodied fish with a depressed head and prominent lower jaw.A strong spine is present near the operculum.Body is blackish or brownish and fins with a reddish touch.Spots are barred in all the fins.Caudal fin is rounded and pectoral with a diffuse spot.This species typically ranges in size from 18 cm (7 in) to 26 cm (10 in) in length. Its color varies from greyish brown to dark brown, and the brown spinecheek gudgeons primarily consume crustaceans, insects, and gastropods.
