Habitat : Mud and rocky bottom of coastal waters,estuaries,tidal rivers.
Description : Longjaw Goby is characterized by pale grey body color with irregular brown blotches on cheek.Barbels are present anteriorly and caudal fin is rounded with diffused blackish bar. It is found in the lower, slow flowing stretches of rivers, backwaters and swamps in both fresh and brackish water where it feeds on zooplankton. This widespread and common species may be a species complex and different populations may prove to be separate species.
