Description : The Scribbled Goby got an elongated body which has sub-cylindrical anterior and compressed posterior.They appear like yellowish grey above and white below.Head of them is large tapering and obtusely convex along with a little oblique mouth.Dorsal fins are quiet apart from each other and got a rounded caudal fin. Male nakea can grow up to 24.5 cm (9.6 in) SL, while females typically reach lengths of 16.5 cm (6.5 in). Sporting a dark olive color adorned with white streaks and speckles, these fish navigate slow-moving waters, especially during their annual spawning run to the stream mouth. Despite strong currents, they can swim upstream for distances ranging from 10 to 200 feet. Their omnivorous diet includes 84% filamentous algae and 16% chironomids (non-biting midges) and other animal food, as revealed in a study.

For reproduction, eggs are laid downstream, where both males and females actively guard the nest. Males take charge of nest construction, attracting females who contribute by laying one clutch per year.
