Description : Spotfin swamp barb is a moderately compressed bodied fish with a slightly longer upper jaw.Body is silvery with sides having a bluish glow.Two black round spots are present,one at the base of dorsal fin and other near the tail.Operculum is tainted with golden color.Males develop a red band along the sides of the body during breeding season which is less distinct in female.Pelvic and anal fins are red in adult male.
