Description : The Striped Keelback can grow up to 1 meter in length.
The snake has a distinctive pattern of dark stripes or bands on its back with a yellow or light brown belly.
The head is elongated and flattened with large eyes and a pointed snout.
The body is slender and elongated with a series of ridges or "keels" running down the back, giving the snake its name.
The Striped Keelback is found in a variety of habitats including wetlands, rice paddies, and forests.
The snake is primarily carnivorous, feeding on a variety of prey including frogs, fish, and small mammals.
The Striped Keelback is mainly active during the day and is a non-aggressive snake. When threatened, it will usually try to escape, but may also inflate its body and hiss loudly to deter predators.
Little is known about the reproductive behavior of the Striped Keelback, but it is believed to lay eggs in clutches of 5-12.
