Description : ব্ল্যাক-ক্যাপড কিংফিশারের প্রাপ্তবয়স্কের বেগুনি-নীল ডানা এবং পিছন,কালো মাথা এবং কাঁধ সাদা ঘাড়ের কলার এবং গলা ও নীচের অংশ ফ্যাঁকাসে থাকে।এদের চঞ্চু বড় এবং পা উজ্জ্বল লাল হয়ে থাকে।লিঙ্গগুলি একই রকম তবে কিশোর বয়সীরা প্রাপ্তবয়স্কদের এক ফ্যাঁকাসে সংস্করণ।
