Description : ঝুঁটিয়াল গোদাশিকরে লম্বা লেজের শিকারি পাখি যার মাথায় ছোট ঝুঁটি রয়েছে।(পূর্ণ বয়স্ক পাখির দৈর্ঘ্য প্রায় ৪৩ সেমি, ডানা ২৪ সেমি পর্যন্ত হতে পারে) পুরুষ পাখির দেহের উপরের দিক ধূসর-বাদামি, নিচের দিকে হাল্কা রঙের লালচে ভাব আছে। স্ত্রী, পুরুষ উভয়ের ঠোঁট তীক্ষ্ণ ও বাদামি রঙের, চোখের আইরিশ সোনালি-হলুদ রঙের এবং পা, পায়ের পাতা হলুদ রঙের হয়। এরা ছোট স্তন্যপায়ী, পাখি(বাতাই, কবুতর, বনমোরগ)শিকার করে খায়। এরা সব ধরনের বনভূমির পাশাপাশি বিক্ষিপ্ত গাছ সহ খোলা জায়গায় পাওয়া যায়। এটি বনাঞ্চলের প্রান্ত বরাবর শিকার পছন্দ করে, তবে অভিবাসী পাখিরা বিভিন্ন আবাসস্থলের সাথে খাপ খাইয়ে নিতে পারে। এ চড়ুই পাখি উদ্যানে, শহুরে এলাকায় এবং এমনকি পর্যাপ্ত লম্বা গাছ সহ শহরের পার্কগুলিতে প্রজনন করতে দেখা যায়।
