Description : পাতি পানমুরগি/জল মোরগ ছোট কালচে-ধূসর জলাভূমির পাখি। পাখিটির ঠোঁট হলুদ আর লাল, পা লম্বা(পূর্ণ বয়স্ক পাখির দৈর্ঘ্য প্রায় ৩৩ সেমি., ডানা প্রায় ১৬ সেমি. পর্যন্ত হতে পারে)এদের দেহ উপরের দিক থেকে জলপাই-বাদামি, নিচের দিক থেকে স্লেট- ধূসর রঙের। মাথা, গলা কালচে, চোখের আইরিশ লাল। এরা জলজ গাছের বীজ, কাণ্ড, পোকামাকড়, শামুক ব্যাঙ, ছোট মাছ খায়। মে-অগাস্ট এদের প্রজননকাল।
