Description : পাতি কুট/জল কুটকুট কালচে-ধূসর জলচর পাখি যার ঠোঁট সাদা।(পূর্ণ বয়স্ক পাখির দৈর্ঘ্য প্রায় ৪২ সেমি., ওজন ৬০০গ্রাম, ডানা প্রায় ২০ সেমি. পর্যন্ত হতে পারে)এদের দেহ সম্পূর্ণ ধূসর-কালো তবে উড়ার সময় ডানার কিনারের সাদা অংশ দেখা যায়। মাথা, গলা কালচে, চোখের আইরিশ লাল। এরা জলজ গাছের বীজ, কাণ্ড, পোকামাকড়, মাঝে মাঝে ছোট মাছ খায়।
