Description : পাকড়া শালিক গ্রাম ও শহরে পরিচিত সাদা-কালো মাঝারি আকারের একটি পাখি।এরা লম্বায় প্রায় ২৩সেমি,ওজনে ৭৭গ্রাম,পাখা ১২সেমি, ঠোঁট ৩.২ সেমি,টারসাস ৩.৩ সেমি, লেজ ৬.৮ সেমি।এর ঝুটি,গ্রীবা, পৃষ্ঠ ,পাখা,লেজের ওপরের অংশ কালো। এর গলা,বুক কালো ,এছাড়া সমস্ত অঙ্কিয়ভাগ ধুসর বা অস্বচ্ছ সাদা রঙের।এর কানের দুইপাশ সাদা,পাখায় সাদা দাগযুক্ত এবং সাদা কোমড় দেখা যায়।এর চোখের চারপাশে কোমলা রঙয়ের চামড়ার একটি দাগ দেখা যায়,এর বাদামি-কমলা বা হলুদাভ-কমলা চোখের পাতা দেখা যায়। ঠোঁট বিভিন্ন রঙয়ের হয়ে থাকেঃ গোড়া লালচে কমলা বাকি অংশ ফ্যাকাশে হলুদ।এর হলুদাভ বাদামি পা ও পায়ের পাতা দেখা যায়।পুরুষ ও স্ত্রী পাখি দেখতে একই রকম।এরা সর্বভুক এবং পোকা,ফল,মধূ, মৃত প্রানী, আবর্জনা খেয়ে থাকে।এরা মার্চ-সেপ্টেম্বর মাসে প্রজনন করে থাকে।এরা গাছের ওপরের দিকের ডালে বাসা তৈরি করে।
